Why this extra Google Analytics URL builder:

The reason why I have made a similar tool is that I want to be able to add two extra URL parameters (cid|aid) to the final landing page URL.
  • cid = Campaing ID
  • aid = Ad ID

I know that both this tool and the official Google Analytics URL Builder tool have two similar URL paramteres

  • utm_content = Campaing Content
  • utm_campaign = Campaign Name

But if you use the two ladder URL parameters for manual tracking of e.g. AdWords traffic in Google Analytics or tracking traffic from e-mail newsletters, then these URL parameters are not a part of the final landing page URL. However the 'cid' and 'aid' URL parameters will ramain as a part of the landing page URL, e.g.

http://www.mywebsite.com/landingpage-for-product-x.php?cid=adwx&aid=3475
